I was doing errands at lunch today when I heard “Let’s Go Crazy” playing on Q93.3 FM (New Orleans). For a moment I wondered, Why are they playing an old Prince song in the middle of the lunch hour? He didn’t die, did he? And then radio DJ Uptown Angela said it, “Yes, it’s true, sources have confirmed that Prince has died.” I was in complete shock as I tried to turn left at a busy intersection.
I did a search to see how many blog posts I have done where I mentioned Prince in the last 3 years. There were quite a few. But my favorite was Back to Blogging and Back to School when I described seeing Prince for the first time in concert at the Essence Festival in July 2014. Floor seats! Awesome time. Thank you for the memories, Prince Rogers Nelson.
Let’s Go Crazy in honor of a great musical genius! Link up your old posts for new traffic….
