Deja Vu is My Current View

During the month of October last year, I had a lot going on:

I finally published my novel, Acting On Her Behalf, after 16 years.

I made the switch from Blogger to WordPress after 10 months of blogging. (That’s my referral link for how to DIY.)

My friends, Dino and Margaret from Detroit, celebrated their wedding anniversary in New Orleans with me and Hubby.

The Deuce needed 2 Halloween costumes: 1 for his school’s theme and 1 for trick-or-treating in our subdivision.

Let’s fast forward to October 2014…

I experienced a lot of repeats this October, but still happier, healthier, wiser ones…

I’m working on a second novel that features characters from Acting On Her Behalf. It is set in Louisiana.

My friends from Detroit celebrated their wedding anniversary again with me and Hubby in New Orleans. Hubby surprised us all with dinner reservations at Restaurant R’evolution in the French Quarter. And who was at the door when we arrived? Renowned Chef and Owner, John Folse. Hubby arranged for us to enjoy an exhibition kitchen dining experience. It was fabulous. Fantastic food and VIP treatment!

Another highlight of seeing Dino and Margaret was taking new publicity pictures. You may remember that I featured Dino in one of my 5 Questions With… post. You can read that here. He is a wonderful photographer in Michigan and he shot the photos that I used for my book’s back cover and all of my previous profiles and gravatars. I say previous because I have updated all of them with new ones that Dino took in various areas of the French Quarter! I was so overdue for it. My hair is long again and I wanted to show a fun and whimsical side of me. I am very pleased. I hope you are too.

Another déjà vu moment is 2 Halloween costumes for The Deuce this year. Thank God he decided to be Spider-Man again and his costume from two years ago still fits! They are doing a Storybook Character theme at school for Red Ribbon Week and Halloween. The Deuce chose Mr. Tiger from Mr. Tiger Goes Wild by Peter Brown. I painted his face this morning and I think it turned out pretty well. What do you think? I’m used to creating characters with words not paint.
