What a fantastic month November was! Can you believe the end of the year is almost here? Wow. I spent the month co-hosting Wake Up Wednesday Linky with Angel at Sew Crafty Angel along with host duties for my 3 linky parties. I also started hosting giveaways regularly. And of course, there was Thanksgiving!
Check out some of my Top Ha(ppier) He(althier) Wi(ser) moments for November 2014…
Hubby recently joined a men’s social organization focused on preparing young ladies for presentation into society. That’s a big deal here in the South. I had the pleasure of attending their Debutante Tea at the English Turn Golf & Country Club in New Orleans. Women in attendance were asked to wear a hat. I had a great time with Hubby, The Deuce, my brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and niece. Don’t we look fabulous?
I did a guest post on Daisy & June for their Thanksgiving series. Check it out here. It was also an opportunity to share my Momma’s recipes for Baked Glazed Ham and Cast Iron Skillet Cornbread. I proceeded to utilize the recipes for my own small Southern Thanksgiving dinner with Hubby, The Deuce, and my sister April. We also enjoyed Louisiana Seafood Gumbo, potato salad, marinated green beans, and my sister’s famous Banana Pudding.
I was included in the Holiday Recipe Roundup on Simple Moments Stick also. You can read that here.
I braved the crowds on Black Friday at Sam’s Club and Target. NOT AT 6:00 PM THANKSGIVING DAY OR EVEN 4:00 AM ON BLACK FRIDAY. I ventured out midday on Black Friday. I was attempting to find a deal on the Elf on the Shelf. Didn’t happen. Had to pay full price. I was not happy, but we mothers do exceptional things for our children. The Deuce has named his elf, Brad. Why? I don’t know, but the alternatives were Lain and Zuke. Again, I don’t know why. Stay tuned for a post on Brad’s appearances during the holiday season.
